Washington Sculptors Group (WSG) and the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association (NVFAA) are pleased to announce LOULOUDI Flower/ To Flower in the Athenaeum gallery from March 20 - May 4. Juror, Renée Stout, selected the works from submissions from members of the Washington Sculptors Group. The show celebrates Spring's awakening flora, as well as the Alexandria Historic Garden Tour on April 26.
LOULOUDI explores the natural process of flowering and its entire metaphorical context through object making and installation. The work aims to spark a dialogue about the artist's material, the environment, and cultural connotations affiliated with the symbolic and literal meaning of flower/flowering.
