Artist Statement
I had a later life start in artistic expression leaning on resourcefulness learned through diverse life experiences. My castoff glass and curated object utilization is a wise re-use of material, and a reasoned, intricate use of process.
Carefully I process the limited materials at hand, juxtaposing the tension between randomness and control. My use of limited resources informs a quiet creativity. My work is homage to all who have had to let go, to start over, or to endure a struggle for existence.
The complexity of art process motivates my work. I let organic influences and mistakes bring life’s proverbial odds and ends to inclusion without the perception of perfection.
Each of my art pieces is fundamental and inductive, challenging assumptions and expectations. My art is an attempt to show possibility in ways unexpected.
