Lynda Andrews-Barry is a multidisciplinary artist whose environmental practice reveals overlooked beauty in nature through time-based media, installations, and sculptures using found and fabricated objects. As a 2024 Environmental Justice Artivist Fellow with the Aspen Institute, Lynda leads clean air initiatives in DC’s Ward 5. A member of Studio Gallery, she also serves on the Washington Sculptors Group board and edits The Washington Sculptor. Her award-winning work has shown at the National Building Museum, Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery, and more, with public art installations across DC, MD, VA, NJ, and FL. Originally from Berkeley, Lynda holds a BA in Interior Design from Mount Vernon College and an MA in Exhibition Design from The Corcoran. Recent projects include Echoes of Heroics and Petrichor at Studio Gallery DC, and public art projects Up in the Air (WDC), Quiet Code (MD), and Passages (VA). Lynda’s work emphasizes community engagement and environmental awareness.
