Joshua Prince

College Park, Maryland

I am primarily a sculptor in a multi-disciplinary practice.

My journey to pursuing a profession in the arts is non-traditional: I trained as a mechanical engineer, worked in nuclear power, and I am a submarine veteran. Integrating my engineering and military experience into my practice, I strive to add an uncommon voice to the art community cultivated from my past experiences.

My current body of work showcases the rapid growth in my practice and play with materiality to find ways to express my voice. I aspire to continue to grow as an interdisciplinary artist while exploring questions on the boundaries of military service, use of force, their unequal effects across our societies, and how technology changes the human experience.
