McCullough is known mostly for her work depicting women’s dresses, which are a three dimensional diary of sorts that chronicle her life events. The dress sculptures have grown and changed through that time - always examining the experience of women in the workplace and in life; our union with nature and going forth in beauty... rising above the fear. The pieces are created from various metals including steel and vintage oil cans. Working mostly in steel, various metals and found objects, she also has ventured into other mediums including stone and wood.

McCullough also has her animal and nature side. Her loves of animals has inspired sculptural works of horses, dogs, and a variety of birds.
