A Special Invitation to Washington Sculptors Group Members:

Helen Chason, Director of the Kreeger Museum, Washington DC, and WSG Advisory Board Member, has graciously extended the exhibition Objects from the Studio: The Sculptor’s Process to provide WSG Members the opportunity to experience a special access viewing of the exhibition, the museum, and the Sculpture Garden. 

The program will begin promptly at 12:15pm and the interior portion of the tour will conclude at 1:45pm. Members can explore the grounds independently from 1:45 on.

This exhibition brings together maquettes, sketches, and other objects from sculptors’ studios to explore how outdoor sculptures are made, focusing on works from The Kreeger Museum’s Sculpture Garden. The show offers insight into the artistic process, from preliminary drawings to handcrafted models. Artists include Kendall Buster, Richard Deutsch, John L. Dreyfuss, Carol Brown Goldberg, Dalya Luttwak, and Foon Sham.

To Register, read the Museum Visitor Guidelines below:

  • All group members will be asked to show proof of vaccination (digital or paper certificate) and to wear masks when they are inside the building.
  • Doors will open at 12:15. Everyone must exit the building by 1:45.  All are welcome to remain on the grounds after they leave the building
  • Please know that parking in our lot is limited.
