My art has been created from a reflective point (or in a contemplative frame) of a lifetime of observations, experiences and powerful recollections about Humanity and Nature.
The palette is not set in color – order, I find the colors as I go …like words in poetry, or musical notes, including its pauses and dissonances. They create a dialogue, a sensory experience…and a spiritual connection…
These sculptures are born from a thought, where nothing is resolved. It is an endless path, with no arriving or ending.
At first glance the attentionĀ is in the colors, but actually I am not concerned or interested in the relationship of colors, or the beauty of the color in itself, rather I use color to express Human emotions.
There is always a constant connection and dialogue with my works.
The mixed media creates, in some pieces, transparencies, as a ghost- effect, empty spaces.
Loss, Displacement and Hope have been my subjects in a generative form. I employ certain vagueness in my paintings in order to illustrate the transient, mercurial and unstable nature of reality.
