SCULPTURE 1275: Dennis Beach

Washington, DC: The Washington Sculptors Group (WSG) is pleased to announce the opening of the first in a series of sculpture solos to be featured in the lobby of 1275 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. In conjunction with the Axent Realty Group, the WSG will be co-sponsoring a series of curated sculpture exhibitions that will showcase the work of selected members. The first exhibit will feature the work of WSG member, Dennis Beach, who was chosen by juror Anne Surak, Director of Project 4, a contemporary gallery in Washington DC.

WSG member Dennis Beach is both a sculptor and a painter who creates sculptural forms derived from repetitive processes that occur in nature. Mr. Beach received his BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and an MFA from the University of Delaware. He has been represented by Schmidt Dean Gallery in Philadelphia, PA since 2002 and currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware.

Exhibition dates are August 4 - October 4, 2008. A reception will be held Saturday, September 6 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

The building is accessible Monday thru Friday during the hours of 8 am - 8 pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
