|I work in a variety of media, primarily handmade, overbeaten flax paper shrunk over armatures. Much of my work is form-driven, addressing issues of interior and exterior space, with a particular interest in the geometry of microscopic organisms, fossils, and seed pods.
My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in art history from Harvard University and a master’s degree in Early American Decorative Arts from the University of Delaware Winterthur Program. I exhibit and sell my work at juried craft shows and galleries throughout the US and teach workshops by appointment.
In addition to being a member of Flux Studios in Mt. Rainier, MD, (www.fluxstudiosdc.com) I am an Associate Artist at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA, (http://www.torpedofactory.org).
