|JACK BIESEK lives and works at his California home and studio. He has more than thirty years experience as an artist, designer and sculptor. His current work includes enduring sculptures that explore icons and archetypal symbology. Jack works with a variety of classic materials including bronze, steel, aluminum, sterling silver, gold leaf, marble, limestone and granite. His elegant finishes and unique patinas reflect classic styles handled in a contemporary and fresh manner.
Jack is an alumni of Pasadena City College where he studied graphic art, design and photography. His graphic design work is recognized internationally and is part of the Smithsonian permanent collection in Washington DC. His architectural and environmental graphic work has been widely published and he has received numerous awards and commendations including honors from the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the Society for Environmental Graphic Design. His work has been featured in several books including Urban Identities, Environmental Graphic Design and This Way¬: Graphic Design for Public Spaces. Jack’s work has also been featured in leading design magazines including Print, Identity and Communication Arts. His clients include the National Park Service, UCLA, USC, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Getty Museum.
