|My work is dedicated to creating art to advance the well-being of earth’s ecosystems. I look at the way art and sciences overlap and influence each other. I strive to understand design-science pioneers leading the progress toward sustainable practices. I seek out experimental creative research based around ideas of synthetic leaves and artificial photosynthesis algae lamps. By delving into the discipline of biotechnology, my ceramic forms, sculptural installations and short films exploring biological phenomena and I intend to shed light on human interaction’s impact on nature. The habitat of a specific species can influence me to create parallel artistic environments. By crossing both the artificial and the natural worlds, I seek to inspire viewers to be more sensitive to the interconnectedness of both realms.
